Hello, I'm Rafael, but you can call me Rafa or Raf, whichever you prefer. I'm a technology professional with over two decades of experience, passionate about innovation, data, AI, and the crypto ecosystem. My journey started as a software developer 20 years ago, and over time I naturally migrated towards data analytics, where I've been working for the past 13 years.
I also teach Big Data and Data Analytics in my free time.
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with the most brilliant people I could ever meet on some of the largest and most influential multinational companies across teleco, broadcasting, retail/e-commerce, and technology. I've contributed to disruptive projects, helped shape innovation initiatives, and worked side by side with brilliant teams building the future of digital products and data-driven strategies.
My Professional Journey
Here are some of the milestones that shaped who I am as a professional:
2012
Built one of the first Big Data clusters in Latin America, at a time when the concept was still emerging in the region.
Innovation Leadership
Helped create the innovation department at the largest e-commerce company in Latin America, enabling the development of new data-driven and experimental initiatives.
Social Media Analytics
Contributed to a major project that leveraged social media analytics to guide content decisions for one of Brazil's largest television networks.
AI Pioneer
Participated in the development of one of the first and most impactful AI projects for customer service optimization at the largest telecom operator in Brazil.
Banking Transformation
More recently, worked on defining architecture and strategy for disruptive projects in some of the most relevant banks across Latin America, including data, cloud, and AI components.
Across all these roles, what drives me is the same: solving real problems with technology and contributing to meaningful transformation.
